Recently, Prof. Guo Xun of the School of Ecology and Environment led some teachers and graduate students to participate in the 1st National Earthquake Science Popularization Conference. On the spot of the science popularization conference, teachers and students showed the public a series of research results on the earthquake collapse mechanism structure from IDP and illustrated how to build a house that can't be shaken down. At the same time, Prof. Guo Xun trained the lecturers of the Popular Science Exhibition Hall of Tangshan Earthquake Ruins Park, and then conducted on-the-spot teaching to the students participating in the earthquake site in the cast steel workshop of Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant.
Through this meeting, teachers and students showed the latest research results of IDP, learned the earthquake related knowledge displayed by brother units, understood the latest scientific research trends of the industry, and motivated the enthusiasm of teachers and students for work and study.
