On the afternoon of May 4, 2018, Wang Xiaomei, a senior engineer from the Institute of Geophysics, China Seismological Bureau, was invited to give an academic report on "Geomagnetic Observation Instruments and Applications". Some teachers, postgraduates and instrument class students of Disaster Prevention Instrument Department listened to the report.
Wang Xiaomei briefly introduced the observation of geomagnetic stations, and explained the importance of geomagnetic station observation by analyzing the composition and variation characteristics of geomagnetic field. She focused on the laboratory performance test and comparative observation performance test in the performance test of observation instruments, and briefly introduced the composition, basic principle and performance index of the absolute geomagnetic observation instrument and the relative recording instrument.
After the report, Wang Xiaomei gave answers to the technical problems of geomagnetic observation instruments put forward by teachers and students in detail, which expanded the academic thinking of teachers and students, and was of great significance to improve the scientific research level of geomagnetic instruments of teachers and students.
